Well, well, well. The finale to History Channel's 'The Curse Of Oak Island' Season 7 has left fans with a lot to think about. In the finale, the Fellowship had a serious conversation in the War Room and ran through timelines and tried to match them with the artifacts they had unearthed. They know they are within the grasp of the treasure, but where exactly is it? That's the question. Yet, as always, they never lose hope and are determined to solve the riddle that has been plaguing scholars and historians for over 200 years.

Marty Lagina's toonie experiment might just have fueled their conviction further. Two years ago, Marty dropped a toonie into the H8 borehole. And last week, he found it, 10 feet away from where it was, which makes him believe that there is a lot of underground activity, and the treasure could just be moving around.

However, fans are rather skeptical (that being the polite word) of Marty's toonie find and have a lot to say about it. "Marty finding his own coin and acting like it wasn’t planted... #oakislandcursers #curseofoakisland," tweeted a fan.

"This obviously staged scene of Marty and Gary stumbling across Marty's toonie is some TOP-POCKET BULL***T! #oakislandcursers #CurseOfOakIsland," another fan wrote.

"Wow... so there's only 1 Tooney in existence!!! It MUST be Marty's!!" another fan sarcastically wrote. "I bet Marty put down a silver dollar from 1976. #OakIslandCursers #CurseOfOakIsland," another fan tweeted.

"Do you remember the tease for this week.... that coin that turned out to be Marty's stupid Tooney!!!" tweeted another fan.

Other fans poked a hole in the theory itself. "I don’t know about this big hole theory. If a single coin moved 10ft in a couple years, then wouldn’t it have moved more than 100ft in 400yrs-200yrs??" a fan asked.

Well, it has been an exciting season so far as the team has found fragments of human bones, pickaxes, iron spikes and iron hinges. They are yet to understand what's happening at the bottom of the swamp and hopefully, Season 8 will bring out some new theories. Season 8 has not been confirmed yet, but in all probability, it's on the cards.
