Lindsay Hubbard, star of Summer House, recently announced she was dating Carl Radke.

In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Hubbard said:

“We’re definitely dating!” she exclaimed, adding that the couple had yet to adopt labels.

“We don’t really talk in labels, Carl and I … [But] we’re very much together. We’re very happy.”

The show follows nine friends who live in a summer house in Montauk and share their interpersonal relationships, disputes and escape the bustle of city life.

Hubbard and Radke’s relationship blossomed in front of viewers, who had speculated the two had fallen for each other over the course of the show.

About Lindsay Hubbard

Hubbard has been a regular on the show since it first aired in 2017.

The founder of a public relations company, Hubb House PR, Hubbard was hoping to escape New York City life and focus on her business and relationship with then-boyfriend Everett Weston.

Hubb House PR is a full-service and marketing agency that has had work featured in The Daily Beast, Ask Men and Coveteur.

The agency specializes in  “travel, hospitality, beauty, consumer products, technology, lifestyle, and entertainment, while focusing on traditional and non-traditional media coverage, out of the box marketing, special events, talent relations, and product placement.”

Hubbard’s relationship informed much of her storyline on the series until the couple broke things off ahead of season 2 in 2018.

She was briefly involved with costar Carl Radke in season 4 of the show after the two shared a night together after establishing a solid four-year friendship on and off the screen.

Later that summer, Hubbard, and costar Stephen Traversie were involved for over a year, having begun dating in 2020.

Despite her many romantic ups and downs, Summer House fans held out hope that Hubbard would give Radke a second chance, with many citing their chemistry as a factor in a future relationship.

Interestingly, Radke managed to become a factor in Hubbard’s professional life as an advisor for Spotfund – one of Hubbard’s clients.

Hubbard also ventured into the spinoff show, Winter House, to search for a new beau, and revealed to Us Weekly that she and Austen Kroll had kept their behind-the-scenes romantic history under wraps for years.

A Second Chance For Carl Radke

Fans are overjoyed to learn that Hubbard and Radke decided to give things another go and are excited to witness the reconciliation in Summer House’s upcoming sixth season.

Hubbard noted that the timing had never been quite right for her and Radke, and it was not until he decided to turn his life around that she began to consider a relationship with him.

During season 4, Radke’s dependency on alcohol was a severe point of contention during their brief relationship.

He decided to commit to sobriety after his brother died of a drug overdose during the filming of season 5.

Although she was impressed by Radke’s willingness to alter his lifestyle, Hubbard was dating Traversie during the season.

As she told Page Six, his decision to quit alcohol formed the perfect pathway for reconciliation after Hubbard found herself single in 2021.

“He’s still the same Carl. You just see all of the good [now],” she said. “He eliminated things that would trigger the bad in him — alcohol, for example,”

Hubbard added that Radke is “still himself. He’s so funny [and] we have so much fun together. We speak the same language.”

She acknowledged that she had a place in his journey towards sobriety, noting that it was a different experience to help him as a friend than a romantic partner.

“Obviously, we know everything about each other as far as friends — and that’s what makes such a solid foundation for us to be able to navigate his sobriety and [figure out] what his needs are in that capacity, in a new romantic relationship.”

Will There Be Any Drama?

The upcoming season will also incorporate Hubbard’s former flame, Austen Kroll, a plot point that will play a significant role in her relationship with Radke.

On his part, Radke teased that the love triangle would be exciting for fans to witness.

“Obviously, I was aware going into the summer that Lindsay and Austen were very close. Prior to Vermont, I would hear Lindsay on the phone with Austen periodically, and they would FaceTime. You know, he’d FaceTime her at midnight at the bar.

He admitted he cheered on their friendship, saying the filming process made him realize that every individual has control over their own lives.

“They talked a lot, and I always was supportive of their friendship, and I even was like, ‘Yeah, you and Austen should have fun, go for it. I mean, do your thing.’ So I’ve always wanted Lindsay to be happy. I am protective of her, but also, she’s an adult. She can have her fun and I wanted her to have the best summer she could have because — based on both of our previous summers — I think we were all needing to let loose a little bit.”

Radke opened up about his relationship with Hubbard being a shock to Kroll but maintained a friendly relationship with his fellow Bravo star.

As far as their on-screen dynamics go, Radke asserts that not much has changed, saying that he and Hubbard act the same way they did before.

“Other than me calling her babe, it’s like nothing’s changed … because we do hang out all the time. We do have incredible chemistry. Now, things have just got a little more romantic, which has been — honestly, it’s been really, really good and exciting,” he noted.

Their costars have been extremely supportive of the romance between Radke and Hubbard, with many hoping they would find their way back to each other after their one-time fling.

Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke, who met and married on Summer House, revealed the four of them had spent some time together as couples in Charleston.

Batula said the relationship between Hubbard and Radke was lovely to see, especially once she got over their pet names and public displays of affection.
